Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess student health needs, reporting changes to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create individualized healthcare plans.
- Provide health education and counseling to students and their families.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Participate in school health programs and community outreach initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and health screenings.
